Initially, Watson operated the business from his home and stocked and shipped GAST Manufacturing products. In 1965, the company moved to its current location on Doran Avenue. In 1970, Joe Johnson acquired the company and expanded its product lines to include Liquiflo Chemical Processing Pumps in 1972 and Busch Manufacturing products in 1975. Over the years, ownership of James E Watson & Co changed hands, with Starr Johnson becoming the majority owner in the 1990s.
