Eugene Piano Company
Eugene Piano Company has a rich history dating back to the mid-1980s. The owner, Mitch Paola, has been in the piano business for over 30 years and has worked closely with many associates and clients in the Eugene area, including the University of Oregon, the Hult Center, and the John G. Shedd Institute. Due to his strong relationship with the Kawai Company and his confidence in Tom Turner, a longtime piano technician, Mitch decided to open a second location in Eugene. This allows Eugene Piano Company to offer top-quality pianos at affordable prices to a community that Mitch has been connected with for many years.
Mitch Paola's love for classical music started at a young age when he spent countless hours with his grandfather, Maurice (Moe) Schuster, who was a concert violinist with the Portland Symphony. Mitch joined the family business in the early 1980s and became part owner. In 1989, Moe's Pianos became part of Sherman Clay and Mitch became the General Manager. With his extensive experience and passion for finding the right piano for each client, Mitch has matched thousands of pianos to satisfied customers, including Steinway artists, professional athletes, and esteemed institutions like universities and churches.
Tom Turner is the Eugene store manager and an experienced piano technician. He developed a passion for pianos at a young age and completed his initial training at Grayson County College in Texas. Tom quickly gained respect for his piano tuning skills and was named head piano technician for Ricketts Music stores in Eugene and Roseburg. As a Registered Piano Technician (RPT), Tom has been serving loyal customers throughout Lane & Douglas County for over 25 years.
Together, Mitch Paola and Tom Turner strive to provide high-quality pianos, competitive pricing, excellent customer service, and expert piano services to their valued customers.
